The Best Roast You've Ever Tasted

Shannon Frye
The first thing that you are going to have to do is run to your local grocery store and purchase a chuck roast. You will want to purchase a large one because these roasts will decrease to about half of their size once you cook them. You will probably spend about $8-10 dollars on a good size chuck roast. You can purchase a couple of them if you want to.

The next thing that you will need to do is purchase a large bottle of A1 Sauce or Ranch Dressing. When you get home you will want to place the chuck roast in a crock pot on low. You will probably need to cook this roast for around five hours on low. If you notice that the meat is starting to get dried out you will need to take the roast out. If you decide to place the roast on high you will burn all of the A1 sauce or Ranch dressing right out of the crock pot.

You will want to cut the fat off of the meat before you place the meat in the crock pot. This will make it easier to split up the meat and serve it once the meat is cooked. That way you wont have people spitting out chunks of fat from the chuck roast. After the fat is completely removed you can place the chuck roast into the crock pot and place either A1 sauce or Ranch dressing on the roast. You can use one or the other but you do not want to use both at the same time.

Which ever method that you choose to cook the roast in you will want to fill about 2 inches of the crock pot with the sauce. You will want to make sure that the top of the roast is covered in the sauce as well. You can flip the roast over every couple of hours if you would like to. Then you can place a little bit more sauce on the roast.

If you are cooking one roast it will cost you about $10-11 dollars. If you are purchasing two roasts it will cost you double that amount. Don't forget to purchase A1 dressing and Ranch salad dressing as well. You can use powder dressing and worchesier sauce as well. There are three different options to choose from and all of them are delicious. It's not very expensive to make and it doesn't take a lot of work in the kitchen. All you have to do is cut off the fat and place it in the crock pot. You can get home from work and your dinner will be ready. Don't forget to take the roast off of high or your dinner will be burnt!
