The Best Rock Bands of All Time

These bands are popular for a reason. Their music is enjoyable and timeless; it is not out of reach for most people both in theory and content. This list may be a bit skewed for the reason that I am a little partial to good guitar licks.

These are unbelievable web sites and it is great to reconnect in a new way to the past by the information highway. You can learn something new about your favorite bands and check out some of their latest offerings. I've also included a sample list of some of my favorite songs.

John was intriguing in the beginning and continues to be so. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame March 10, 2008.

This Australian band formed in 1973. Highway to Hell and Back in Black laid down their signature sound and its theme follows thru till today. They were inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in March 2003 and are still touring today.
Thunderstruck, It's a Long Way to the Top, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, Highway to Hell, Hell's Bells, For Those About to Rock, Stiff Upper Lip, You Shook Me All Night Long and their latest stuff from Black Ice are great to listen to.

The Beatles
Few bands have stood the test of time so well and inspired such a cultural phenomenon. So many songs are like a household name, familiar, yet fresh still, even after all these years. You know the words.
Here, There and Everywhere, Back In The USSR, A Hard Day's Night, Glass Onion, Twist and Shout, Help, Hold My Hand, Why Can't We Do It in the Road?, I Saw Her Standing There, Hey Jude and the list can go on and on.

Love it! Awesome adrenalin laced shows, this band formed in 1970 in Boston Ma.

Bicycle Race, We Will Rock You/We are the Champions, Keep Yourself Alive, Under Pressure, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Somebody to Love and the surprising Bohemian Rhapsody are a few good choices.

This band formed in 1967 and their music can really bring you back or set the ambience of your evening. They are still performing to this day.
Fly Like and Eagle, The Joker, Jet Airliner, True Fine Love, Jungle Love, Dance, Dance, Dance, Rock 'n Me, Wild Mountain Honey, Take the Money and Run and Living in the USA are a lot of fun to play on your guitar.

Journey formed in 1973 with former members of Santana in California.
Don't Stop Believing, Faithfully, Any Way You Want It, Open Arms, Lights, Who's Crying Now, Stone in Love, Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin' and Separate Ways are worth a listen.

John Michael Osbourne born 1948 has been referred to as the Godfather of Heavy Metal. His music has been life changing and eye opening. I don't know how he does it, but he has a formula that just works, he is a natural creator.
Crazy Train, Dreamer, Mama I'm Coming Home, Suicide Solution, Paranoid, Mr. Crowley, Diary of a Madman and Shot in the Dark are only a few cool tunes.

Formed in Pasadena California in 1972 there has been a lot of drama surrounding the members of this band. Sammy Hagar and David Lee Roth never seem to see eye to eye. Their Reunion tour ending June 2008 made about 93 million dollars, not bad for a band troubled with personality quirks.
Some really fun songs are Right Here, Right Now, You Really Got Me, Jump, Eruption, Black and Blue, Poundcake, In 'n' Out, Feel Your Love Tonight, Everybody wants some and Hey Baby.
