To begin an exercise program at home is the beginning step in setting up a successful layout where both the parent and child will enjoy a productive and healthy stay at home program. I will give advice on how to plan and produce a happy, vibrant, and easy step by step guide to install a weekly exercise program that will be beneficial to your child's physical health and well being.
#1) Exercise Log Book or Calendar: Plan all exercise activities for one month, only submit the days that the activities will take place. It may be also be a good idea to add what type of nutritional snacks to include in the calendar schedule; this would also be a good way to reward your child for participating in the exercise program.
#2) Family or Group Bicycle Rides:Believe it or not, parents forget one of the most important and fun exercises that the family or parent can participate in, bicycle riding is not only a fun and energetic way for a child to take a break from the home schooling schedule, it is also a way for the parent to bond with their child as their learning process takes place. Get creative and plan a mini bike trail trip, or a weekly neighborhood tour. It may be a good idea to leave the home for an hour or two - and choose a safe destination to take a bike ride at a nearby park or bike trail.
#3) Cardiovascular Dance Exercises: There is one thing for sure that you can bet your bottom dollar on - is that all children love to dance. There is a wide assortment of dance videos and exercise dance videos available on the retail market, many of them can be found on ebay, etsy, amazon, and many other retail outlets. Not only is this a great way for children to take a break from their studies, it is also a fantastic way to have a lot of healthy wholesome fun.
#4) Pick Up The Sticks: This is a classic old school exercise that will help each child develop dexterity skills, coordination and speed skills, in addition to that - it is a great way to introduce your child to the world of 1 2 3 pick up the sticks. To fully enjoy this exercise activity, the parent will need to purchase some colored chalk, plastic sticks, and a whistle. To begin the exercise game, mark a 25 to 30 feet area on both sides, there will be two rows of sticks placed on the ground. When you blow the whistle - this will initiate the exercise game, the child will then run the first leg to pick up one stick and then return it to the other end; they will proceed to do these three more additional times until all four sticks are at the back end where they initially started.
A word of advice to all parents before you begin to participate and build your exercise program, make sure your child receives a health examination from your doctor or health clinic before engaging in any strenuous sporting exercises. A clean bill of health will give each parent a clear conscience before they begin to incorporate the activities I have suggested. Remember always, good health is the key to a happy life.
