The Best Sports Simulation Games

Matt Remley
Lets get ready to rumble! Wait, before we do that lets discuss the best sports simulation games out there. Of course this includes everything from boxing to hockey and football. Personally I don't think I can pick just one sports game and say it's the best, so please allow me to pick one from a few of the most popular genres of football, basketball and golf.

*Football

Who doesn't love a good game of football once in an awhile? As far as the best sports game in this genre goes, thats a easy one, I have one word for you. Madden. The Madden NFL series has dominated football games for a very long time, there are even tournaments set up all over the United States just for Madden players to get their game on.

Course during those tournaments when you defeat someone in a game of Madden, your honor isn't the only one that increases, the size of your wallet does also if you know what I'm saying.

*Basketball

If I had to pick one of my favorite basketball video games I'd have to say NBA live, this too has tournaments and the newer games in the series features online play. Typically a new game for the series comes out every year or so with better graphics and better computer controlled characters (Or AI if you will).

*Golf

Tiger tiger woods y'all! Alright so maybe that was a little over board, but it's true that Tiger Woods brand of golf games control its market. Though I particularly don't like these games, they can be fun to play every once in an awhile and are enjoyed by all age groups.

Newer games in this series also include online play and it's likely that with advances in gaming technology like what is present in the current Wii console, that we may see Golf games getting a lot more attention thanks to motion sensing technology.

Although those were just three examples, there are a lot of other great sports games out there such as the FIFA Soccer series created by Electronic Arts. I'd have to say that Electronic Arts dominates the sports game scene as most of their sports games are instant hits on the market.

Be sure to keep an eye out for them in the years to come.
