The Best Take Out Places in Miami Beach

E.A. Gunn
It can be a complete hit or miss when choosing where to get some take out. Everyone claims to have the best food and offer the best service. In a city like Miami Beach, it's easy to stumble upon an establishment that is looking to take advantage of the out-of-towner looking for a good meal. Read below for the best places to go (or call) when you just want good food fast without the attitude.

Master's Deli & Pizzeria
1720 Alton Road

Master's Pizza not only has great Italian food, but by far the friendliest staff and quickest delivery. They have personal size pizzas that are made fresh, tasty garlic rolls, and a tiramisu that could easily be the best in Miami Beach.

Lime Fresh Mexican Grill
1439 Alton Road

When you have a craving for chips and guacamole, head on over to Lime. Whether you're in the mood for tacos, burritos, or quesadillas you can't go wrong at this cute little Mexican joint. Pick up some fresh salsas and sangria and you're good to go. While they don't offer delivery, calling in your order ahead of time will assure that your order is ready in about 10 minutes.

Iron Sushi
840 Washington Avenue

Iron Sushi offers freshly made Japanese dishes like classic sushi rolls, yummy seaweed salad, and heavenly cheesecake tempura. Everything is made to order and neatly packaged for delivery or take out. Try the vegetarian "extra value meal" with miso soup for a satisfying meal that will only feel like you're eating bad.

Bambino Grande
235 Washington Avenue

Watch out, or you may completely miss this little hole in the wall. Serving hearty yet simple Italian food, Bambino Grande is the perfect place to pick up a quick dinner before a long night out in South Beach. And be sure to save room for dessert as Bambino Grande sells Stella's Famous Cupcakes. Gourmet and all-natural, these cupcakes are simply amazing, especially the red velvet.

Joe's Take Away
11 Washington Avenue

Joe's Stone Crab is famous for its stone crabs and draws everyone who's "anyone" to its restaurant. However, you don't have to wait hours for a table (they don't accept reservations) in the highly priced dinning area in order to experience its decadent menu. Joe's Take Away occupies an area on the north side of the building that contains the same fare as the main restaurant at a fraction of the price. Just be sure to pick up some key lime pie to go along with your seafood, many consider it to be the best on the Beach.

Nexxt Cafe
700 Lincoln Road

If you're looking for big portions and a large selection, Nexxt Café is the place to go. While most people are attracted there to sit on Lincoln Road and people watch, few realize that you can also order food to-go. From excellent crispy calamari, to melt-in-your-mouth cheesecake, you won't be disappointed with the selection at this popular restaurant.

Jerry's Famous Deli
1450 Collins Avenue

Chances are if you're having a craving for something, but don't know where to get it, Jerry's will have it (or, if not they'll make it for you). Jerry's boasts all of the typical "diner" foods like milkshakes and cheese fries, but also less common items like knishes and macaroons. The only downfall of this long standing establishment is trying to decide what to order.

Big Pink
157 Collins Avenue

This fun little diner is a hot spot for late-night eating due to its location near popular clubs like Prive, Opium Garden, and Nikki Beach. The pink VW Beetle's used for delivery cars add a quirkiness that can only be found in South Beach. Breakfast can be ordered 24/7 and desserts like the red velvet cake and apple cobbler are too good to pass up.

Pizza Rustica
863 Washington Avenue, 667 Lincoln Road, & 1447 Washington Avenue

There are many places that claim to have the best pizza, but everyone that lives in Miami Beach knows that Pizza Rustica truly has the best pizza around. They serve up square shaped goodness in flavors like four cheese, potato, and even chocolate. I've even overheard one patron say that Pizza Rustica was better than the pizza she ate in Italy. Now that says it all.

Nice article! I miss Miami now! lol It's so cold here in Michigan! I always just eat at Nikki Beach because they have a Sunday brunch where you can sit on these beds on the beach and drink champagne and listen to dj JP! it's amazing! I'm usually too tired to go anywhere else on Sunday and they have free parking. The staff rocks too. But during a weekday I'll have to check these places out. Oh, if you are in miami the website is nikkibeach(dot)com Again, great article!
