The Best Tattoo Parlor in Seattle

I have to admit, I was pretty nervous when I went to go get my naval pierced. I knew I wanted it done, but I also knew I didn't want to hang out in a skuzzy tattoo parlor with needles dropping on the floor and rusty jewelry. Some of those parlor's exist in Seattle.

Imagine my surprise when I walked into Seattle's Slave to the Needle. Everything was so clean and comfortable. I was greeted by a friendly receptionist that immediately put my mind at ease. And the man that performed the piercing was even better. Of course, everything was extremely sterile-latex gloves, needle from a sealed package, the whole gamut. But even more than that, he just talked to me in a very conversational way. He asked me how I was, and promised me it wouldn't hurt a bit. It was all very reassuring.

I laid down on a table, he told me to take a deep breath in, and then we were done. The whole procedure felt like a sharp pinch. I couldn't believe it. Afterwards, he gave me a pamphlet on how to clean the piercing, told me all the things I should and shouldn't do, and I was on my way-pierced and proud.

I was so pleased with them that I decided to go back one year later to get a tattoo. And it was everything I expected all over again. The cleanliness impressed me just like the time before, and the employees impressed me just like the time before. Each tattoo artist even has a portfolio of his/her work available. This allows the customer to browse through different artists and determine whose style matches his/her own preferences.

Slave to the Needle is open seven days a week, from 11 AM to 11 PM. They take walk-ins, but you can also make an appointment (which I suggest). This tattoo parlor is very reasonably priced, although it's not the cheapest place around. Then again, you get what you pay for. 100% of the time, I would rather pay a few extra bucks and have the peace of mind that I'm in a safe, clean and friendly environment.

Safety is and should be your one main concern when shopping around for tattoo parlors. And from what I've read and witnessed, Slave to the Needle adheres to the highest standards of safety. Their needles and pigments are never used on two clients under ANY circumstances, and their non-disposable tools are cleaned in the most thorough way (including being run through a laboratory tested autoclave sterilizer).

It's little surprise that this parlor has been awarded "Nicest Studio" two times at the National Tattoo Convention.
