The Best Three Ways to Accomplish Strong Resume Distribution

Jimmy Collins
When you are looking for a job, sometimes, you have to want it more than anyone else. In other words, you have to be aggressive. Part of being aggressive is getting your resume out to as many potential employers as possible via strong resume distribution, but what are the best ways to make sure this gets done?

While any resume distribution is good resume distribution, there are three tried and true methods that will prove to be the best every time including:

Job Search Websites: Not only do most job search websites help you find a job by listing what is available in your area, but many also allow you to post your resume for free. Places like Monster.com and CareerBuilder.com have a place for you to post your resume allowing tons of potential employers the opportunity to browse your resume with many others. In the end, you could be looking at your resume getting hundreds, to thousands of hits.

Resume Distribution Services: There are now many companies that will, for a fee, distribute your resume to thousands of potential employers. If you decide to use one of these services, be sure that you find one that targets potential employers in your job niche, otherwise, they could be a waste of your money.

Hitting the Pavement: Again, you have to aggressive with resume distribution. Sometimes, that means taking matters into your own hands, or feet as it where. Each day you should print ten copies of your resume and hit the pavement. Dress to impress and go to ten different businesses each day and personally hand over your resume to a manager. Doing this five days a week will mean 50 potential employers will have a chance to view your resume and see if they like what they see.

Your resume is your key to the job market doorway. However, that door will not open itself. Resume distribution is all about getting your name out there, so again, there is no such thing as bad resume distribution. Even if you hand your resume to a potential employer who doesn't need your help, they may know someone who could use your services. You never know who will see your resume, so be sure that you are hitting your resume distribution hard to guarantee strong results.
