The Best Time for Travel to Italy

Shortly after this, during the second week of April, the Landispoli and other food festivals begin. Other festivals, such as the Sagra dei Garagoj are also held around this time. April is, in fact, the favored time to visit Italy as most festivals and celebrations (including Rome's birthday, April 21) are during this month. The world famous Race of the Ring is in the last week of April as well.

The definite worst time to visit is in August, as this is generally the hottest month and is when most Italians take their vacations, so you'll be greeted by closed shops and minimal service.
