Black Harbour
Black Harbour (1996 - 1999) was a Canadian show about Katherine Hubbard (played by Rebecca Jenkins) who left California and returned home to Black Harbour, Nova Scotia after her mother became ill. Her husband Nick (played by Geraint Wyn Davies) and their two daughters came with her. The family decides to stay in Black Harbour and take over the family boatyard. But then Katherine and Nick start having marital problems. And Katherine realizes she still has feelings for her old boyfriend. Black Harbour is a heartwarming and funny television show as only Canadians can do it. Sadly, it was never show in the U.S. Some other Canadian shows that I'd like to see on dvd include: Side Effects, The Rez, and North of 60.
Renegade
Renegade (1992 - 1997) was about Reno Raines (played by Lorenzo Lamas). Reno was a cop who tested against other cops, who in turn tried to kill him. But instead, it was Reno's girlfriend who died. Reno was framed for her murder and ran off rather than go to jail so he can prove his innocence. He teamed up with two bounty hunters, played by Branscombe Richmond and Kathleen Kinmont who were originally hired to bring him in. The first three seasons are available on dvd, but the last two seasons have yet to be released.
Kung Fu: The Legend Continues
Kung Fu: The Legend Continues (1993 - 1997) was about a father and son who each thought the other was dead but then they are reunited many years later. The son (played by Chris Potter) is a cop and his father (played by David Carradine) is a master of marital arts. They often work together on cases, making this a very unusual show.
Early Edition
Early Edition (1996 - 2000) was about Gary Hobson (played by Kyle Chandler), a guy who got tomorrow's newspaper brought to him by a cat. He used the newspaper to save people's lives. He was assisted by his two friends, one of whom was blind.
One West Waikiki
One West Waikiki (1994 - 1996) was about a medical examiner (played by Cheryl Ladd) and a homicide detective (played by Richard Burgi) who worked together to solve murders in Hawaii.
Pacific Blue
Pacific Blue (1996 - 2000) was about bicycle cops on the boardwalk and around the beach. While it doesn't sound very interesting, the show had a great cast and the storylines never ceased to be entertaining.
Strange Luck
Strange Luck (1995 - 1996) was a rather odd show about a guy named Chance (played by D.B. Sweeney). Chance was the only survivor of a plane crash when he was a child. As an adult, he was a photojournalist who found himself in strange situations because of his strange luck.
Time Trax
Time Trax (1993 - 1994) was about a cop (played by Dale Midkiff) from the future who traveled back in time to capture criminals who have escaped to the past. The show kept me interested since it varied week to week as he went after the many criminals.
Tracker
Tracker (2001 - 2002) was about Cole, an alien (played by Adrian Paul) who came to Earth to retrieve the criminals that escaped from his world. While he searched for them, he stayed with a local bar owner (played by Amy Price-Francis). Every few episodes, Cole had an encounter with Zin (played by Geraint Wyn Davies) who was the one that helped the criminals escape. The first two episodes are available on dvd, but the rest of the episodes have yet to be released.
