The Best UFO Hot Spots in America

g christine
If you want to spend some of your spare time doing a little bit of UFO hunting, here are some of the best hot spots in the United States to look if you want to catch a glimpse of unidentified aircraft.

The Texas Triangle

A popular hot-spot covering parts of Texas and New Mexico. This UFO hot spot is in the area of Albuquerque, and includes the infamous Roswell, New Mexico. Roswell is probably the most famous UFO story in the United States, where an alien craft allegedly crashed in 1947, and was quickly attributed by the military to be a weather balloon, and the fabled aliens, supposed to have been seen by local witnesses, to be crash test dummies. But Roswell is only one of many UFO related incidences to happen in the Texas Triangle are over the years.

Colorado

The whole state of Colorado seems to be a hot-spot for UFO sitings. The area around the small city of Saquach seems to be especially active in the UFO department. Colorado cities in that area hold the top four out of five spots for UFO sites and alien encounters per population count for the year of 2005, according to UFOCAT.

Gulf Breeze, Florida

Another popular UFO destination is Florida, especially the Gulf Breeze. UFO photograph, tales of abductions, and plenty of sightings in the whole Pensacola area lure UFO investigators from around the world to Gulf breeze every year. Another Florida hot-spot that deserves mention here is Santa Rosa.

Lincolnton, North Carolina

Lincolnton and other cities in North Carolina have had a long history of UFO sightings, starting as far back as 1944. Reports have included silver balls in the sky, UFOs chasing people in their vehicles, close encounters with aliens, abductions and other incidences in the area over the years.

Elk River, Minnesota

Sightings in or near the town of Elk River, Minnesota, have made the area a UFO hot-spot, especially famous sightings and encounters in the 1990's. UFOs were often seen moving low to the ground or hovering, either silently or with a low humming sound. Strange shapes sighted have included cigar, wing, or v-shaped craft, regular old saucers, and even jellyfish shaped UFOs.

Anza Valley, California

California as a state has the most UFO sitings every year in the U.S. One area, near San Diego, is notable for its particularly high amount of sightings. In Anza Valley, a tiny town of only about 2000 souls, there have been numerous sightings since at least the 1970's. To make things even more interesting, Anza has also been a recent hot-spot for Bigfoot sightings as well.

These are just a few of the numerous UFO hot-spots in America, but are some of the more interesting that I have found. There are hot-spots in every state and region of the U.S., so if you are looking to spot a UFO, you may not have to look very far.

I was one of the suckers who actually bought the book "The Gulf Breeze Sightings," which was full of great photographs of some of the UFOs supposedly visiting the area. Too bad a small model was found in the photographer's attic, which looked exactly like the craft in several of his photos. Thanks for this article though - I'm still a sucker for UFOs.

It is to bad Mr 1 Crazy Camper you feel the need to make childish remarks at people. I wonder what happens to people in there life when they have to resort to insults. For your information, I am a professional photographer, published in many national magazines and galleries. As far as old, well I am mature enough not to act like a fool, and for hillbilly, heehaww. I was born in Germany, British parents.
I hope you dont own any pets.

It was the fall of 1990, I was in my home in Almont, MI. That time of year it gets dark quite early, it must of been around 8:00 p.m., "the times are now just an approximation". My son, who at the time was around 12 came running in the house saying there was a UFO right outside our house. Let me add at this point I was not one that believed in UFOs. I went outside and my son pointed south and upwards and said look! The funny thing was at first I didn't see anything, but I did notice it was unusually dark, then I noticed a very dim light, I suddenly realized that the reason it was so dark was that there was a huge craft right over our driveway.

It was at tree level and was moving north and a very slow pace, "approximately a slow walking speed". There was a very distinct humming, exactly like a large transformers hums, there was a very dull light in the middle and as it traveled down or driveway I made out a row of windows around the craft, the windows looked very large. I remember w

I think that the UFO sightings go up dramatically with the population of hillbillies and old people.
