Spas have become more popular in recent years, whether it's for health or beauty reasons, or just to relax. They are a great way to escape the stress of today's busy lifestyles and pamper yourself for a while. Despite their recent increase in popularity, spas have long been known for their rejuvenating and relaxing effects and upstate New York spas are no exception. Here are some of the best spas in upstate New York and what they have to offer.

The Crystal Spa (Saratoga Springs) The natural spring waters of Saratoga Springs have been used for health purposes since before the area was settled. The Crystal Spa uses those spring waters to benefit its guests. The Sagamore (Lake George) Situated on beautiful Lake George in upstate New York's Adirondack Mountain region, The Sagamore is dedicated to relaxation.

Using products from Bumble and Bumble, the professionals at The Sagamore Spa offers massage therapy, mud therapy, body wraps, herbal wraps, manicures, pedicures waxing and hair services. They also offer wellness for the skin, such as their Loofah Salt Glow.

Spa packages range from $110 to $365.

Friar Tuck Spa and Salon (Catskill) Nestled in the Hudson Valley of upstate New York, the Friar Tuck Spa was named the best of the Hudson Valley Health Spas. Just a short drive from either Albany or New York City, you can escape the hustle and bustle and relax at the Friar Tuck Spa.

They offer massage therapy, facials, body treatments, full hair and nail services, paraffin wax treatments,waxing and tanning.

The Mirbeau Inn & Spa offers body treatments, wraps, facials, manicures, pedicures, scrubs and massages.
