The Best Valentine's Day Restaurant in Meadville, PA 16335: Julian's Bar and Grill and Timeout Tavern

Valentine's Day with Your Special Someone Will Be Better at Julian's Bar and Grill and Timeout Tavern 16335

Donald Pennington
Valentine's Day will be memorable in 2010. Most folks will find the pleasure of a day celebrating love and romance a much welcome relief to having survived 2009, and for those of us lucky enough to live in northwestern Pennsylvania, it's going to be especially romantic.

When the snow's not blowing (and sometimes even when it is), this particular area of the United States is hypnotically beautiful, and unforgettable. Nothing adds to a memorably romantic Valentine's Day like the backdrop to be found around here. (A simple ride in the country, especially to a tourist, is a treat in itself.)

For those not in the area, the author of this recommendation would suggest visiting here is certainly worth the trip.

So with a night like Valentine's Day evening, it's only right that, where you two go for your Valentine's Day meal be very special. Some research has been made, questions asked, and here is my recommendation, as well as the majority of a thirty-person survey around Meadville, PA 16335, for the right sort of Valentine's Day meal with you and that special someone:

The Best Valentine's Day Restaurant in Meadville, PA 16335:

Julian's Bar and Grill and Timeout Tavern
299 Chestnut St.,
Meadville, PA 16335

Don't let the name fool you. Yes. It says "Bar and Grill." That doesn't mean it's not one of the coolest, classiest places in town. The ambience and atmosphere of the location will win you both over on the first step through the door. Seeing how the other patrons are having fun will only help to add to your own fun this evening.

Julian's is, maybe, the ultimate date restaurant. Soft, gentle lighting, the wonderful smells, and comfortable seating make this little place so great. They often have live music. Even the menus are cool. The drinks from the Time Out Tavern, attached, are made right the first time. This little spot has worked hard for a spotlight and they deserve it.

The staff at Julian's are friendly, but not too familiar, and very high class without being snobbish. You and your date will enjoy the time together while the food is prepared. A high-quality meal requires a wait but it's well worth it. These dishes are not just "standard American fare." You must try the DelMonico steak.

On Valentine's Day Julian's is open their normal business hours of 11 am to 9 pm. According to the super-patient, uber-cool waitress Kalli, two people having a nice meal, drinks, and dessert can probably expect to spend around $50. In a place like Julian's, and on Valentine's Day, this is a great deal. There's no point in looking further for a great spot to spend this Valentine's Day.
