The Best Value Seats at an Atlanta Braves Baseball Game: A True Fan's Perspective

Having been to many Atlanta Braves' games at Turner field over the years, I feel I have gotten to know the ballpark very well. I've just about sat in every general area of the stadium at least once, except for the area right near the field. But with any seat at the dugout level, you know that you are going to get a great seat; so, I'm here to tell you where you should sit at Turner field if you don't want to shell out fifty bucks or more for one ticket.
For starters I'll tell you where you should not sit. Avoid at all costs the right field upper deck seats. There is a reason these tickets are the cheapest in the ballpark. These seats give you the absolute worst view of the playing field and a portion of right field is not even visible from these seats. Also if it you are in these seats in a day game bring sunblock and lots of water because the sun bears down heavily on this section.
In fact, my advice to you is to avoid sitting in any of the right or left field foul seats because they will give you the worst view of the game and you will get the most sun here as well.

The outfield homerun seats are some of my favoriteseats at Turner field for several reasons. First of all, it gives you a unique look at the whole field, and you can easily see every player on the field at all times. Also you are not far off from two of the most exciting Atlanta Braves' players, outfielders Andruw Jones and Jeff Francouer. Although you will be in the sun during day games, these seats are very close to the Braves pavilion where many concession stands and other fun family activities occur throughout the game. A ticket for one of these seats will usually cost you a shade over twenty dollars. Overall these seats are definetely a good value and our worth their price.

In my opinion, the best bang for your buck will come from the 400 level upper deck seats right behind home plate. During day games, these seats are especially extraordinary. It can be a 95 degree day with humidity but when your seating in these seats you are completely in the shade and you will get a nice breeze all game long (not to mention the view of downtown of Atlanta you have from these seats). While you won't get very close to the players from these seats, you will have an excellent aerial view of the entire field. Another great thing about these seats is the fact that it is rarely crowded in these sections, so you will have a lot of the section all to yourself.

Having said all of this, no matter where you sit at Turner Field you will have a great time. The ballpark offers so much more than just the game these days. There are player autographs' before the games and lots of events going on in the Braves' pavillion area before the game as well. There is also the new kids zone area, Tooner field, which offers kids lots of different things to do such as: video games, wiffle ball, and meeting some of the Cartoon Network mascots up close. So when you do come to Turner Field, come early and stay for the game to get the most out of your money.
