Most people in the United States do not consume enough vitamins and minerals in their diets on a daily basis so,multivitamins and herbal supplements offer a bridge (so to speak) to close the gap that needs filled for optimal fulfillment to meet the needs of the human body in order to function properly.Taking vitamins and herbal supplements is a way to strengthen out the imbalances that we put our bodies through. In purchasing vitamins and herbal supplements we are always looking for the better value for the money that we want to spend and to get the most for our money.

Known in malls nationwide is the ever popular GNC stores. Here you can purchase just about any vitamin, herbal product, weight loss product and health and beauty product that you can think of .If by chance GNC don't have exactly what you are looking for they will help you find a store that can.Ordering on line has a couple benefits such as,free shipping on orders totaling over $75 or more in merchandise and often buy one item get one for half price (their version of BOGO).They also will send out information either through the mail or through e-mail about current specials and sales.

The most common vitamin supplements ordered at GNC are Womens Ultra Mega Vitamins for $16.99 (60 caplets)-$29.99 ( 180 caplets),Mens Megamen sport multivitamins $18.99 (90 caplets) - $32.99 (180 caplets),Children's Mulitbite plus minerals chewable multivitamins $7.99 (60 tablets)-$ 13.99 (120 tablets) and GNC Mega Teen multivitamans $11.99 for 120 caplets.

Over the past few years Puritans Pride has really taken a strong force in the sales of vitamins and herbal supplements. Many times Puritans Pride offers either buy one get one free on products and even buy one get two free, which is an extraordinary deal and it helps to keep your shelves stocked. In comparison to GNC by product they figure close to the same but,the deals that they offer seem to outweigh GNC in value.

Comparison of multivitamins to GNC prices,Mega Vita Min for Women $21.99 for 90 tablets or a variant Women's Exclusive Formula Multivitamin $8.95 for 60 tablets,Ultra Vita Min for Men $24.99 for 100 tablets,Children's animal shape chewable multivitamin $9.55 (60 tablets) -$16.95 (120 tablets) and Mega Vita Min for Teens $14.25 for 120 tablets.

Comparison of herbal supplements to GNC prices,Ginko Biloba $5.69 (60 soft gels)-$10.99 (100 soft gels),St.Johns Wart $8.49 (100 caplets)-$16.59 (200 caplets),Omega 3 Fish Oil $12.99 (100)- $24.99 (200),Coral Calcium $8.49 (60 caplets)-$14.99 (120 caplets),Green Tea Extract $8.99 (100 caplets)-$17.49 (200 caplets) and Echinacea $5.29 (100 caplets)-$9.99 (200 caplets).

Some comparisons are evident just by first glance to be a better deal than the other, both are convenient to order on line from your home, both offer deals on shipping rates but, while GNC offers their deal of free shipping by spending over $75,Puritans Pride offers their shipping not matter how large the quantity at only $3.95 or even sometimes free with $25 purchase or more. Also GNC only offers once in awhile buy one item get one half off,Puritans Pride offers either buy one get one free or buy one get two free on a common basis.

To order on line from Puritans Pride go to www.puritan.com you can either set up an account and order on line or toll free at 1-800-645-1030 or you can request a catalog and order from it.To order on line from GNC go to www.gnc.com here you can also order on line or request a catalog.Personally for my money and my own personal value I choose Puritans Pride,I have ordered from them several times and have been completely satisfied every time.

I have compared GNC, Shaklee, Amway, Pharmanex, and others. The best value is Vitafit by far. www.vitafit.me . The price is better, and the Vitafit is pharmaceutical grade. There is a difference.
