The Best Walt Disney World Hotels for Kids

With 32 Hotels Within Walt Disney World Which Ones Are the Best for the Kids?

Matthew Steed
Walt Disney World is one of the most popular family vacation destinations in the world. With the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom, it's no wonder that kids (and Mom and Dad, too) love coming to Walt Disney World again and again.

While there's no question that kids love Walt Disney World theme parks, there are also some great hotels and resorts within Walt Disney World that kids especially love. While all of the 32 hotels within Walt Disney World's 42 square miles are kid friendly, there are some resorts that kids love. (and if you're unsure you even want to stay within Walt Disney World on your next visit, check out my article The Benefits of Staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotelhere.

Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort

Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort hotel features Walt Disney World's first movie themed rooms. Some of the resorts rooms are themed as Pirates of the Caribbean complete with pirate ship beds and pirate themed furniture (think a mini fridge concealed in a rum barrel). The pirate themed rooms cost a little more than the regular rooms so if you want one be sure to mention it when making your reservations.

Disney's All-Star Movie Resort

One of Disney's "value resorts" (where rooms often start at about $79 per night) is a hit with kids of all ages! Get ready to star in your own Disney adventure at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort. Disney movies throughout the years are depicted around the resort. From a huge Dalmatian from "101 Dalmatians" to Herbie the Love Bug, you'll find all of your Disney favorites here.

Disney's Contemporary Resort Hotel

A very distinct landmark at Walt Disney World, Disney's Contemporary Resort is an A-frame hotel in which the Walt Disney World's monorail system glide through the hotel. Situated on both the Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake, this resort is prefect for those who want to be in the middle of it all. The hotel is just outside the Magic Kingdom's main gate, and because of that, offers resort guests a spectacular view of the nightly fireworks from the Magic Kingdom (and the music that accompanies the fireworks is even simulcast in the hotel's California Grill restaurant on the 15th floor). And because of its the closest hotel to the Magic Kingdom, it's a great place to retreat for a couple of hours of R&R when it gets too hot or crowded in the Magic Kingdom.
