The Best Way to Clean Out Your Fridge - No Matter How Nasty It Is?

Sometimes cleaning a refrigerator can be the nastiest job you have. This method of cleaning is going to be the best way to clean your frig from even the worst conditions. It has been used on infested fridges, molded fridges and even worse. These steps are important because everything works out for a smoother, more efficient process.

Almost as important as anything is preparation. You need to first thaw out the refrigerator. This requires taking everything out and leaving it off and open for at least 12 hours, depending on the conditions it may take longer. Make sure you have all the supplies you will need such as bleach, a bucket, Ultradawn if possible, and old rags. Fill the bucket with water after adding about 2 or 3 cups of bleach. Then add the Ultradawn soap and stir with the old rags.

Next is the actual cleaning process with your bucket of cleaning miracles. Once the refrigerator is completely defrosted, take all the drawers and shelves out for a completely empty fridge. I would go ahead and give the whole inside it's first good wipe down with your bucket of bleach water. Any especially moldy or dirty spots can have a little of the bleach water poured on it to sit and soak. After the first wipe down, get the shelves and drawers knocked out next. While you are cleaning these, your first wipe down has time to set in. After the shelves, go ahead and give the inside another really good wipe down making sure not to leave anything untouched. Repeat the wipe downs until you feel it's ready for the final cleaning. You will need hot water for this one because the hot water will rid you of any bleach worries and will give it that extra clean feel and look that everyone wants out of their fridge. Leave the door open for a little while until everything dries out and put the shelves back in. It should be ready again for it's duty, keeping your food cold and good to eat.

Although this can really be a choir, cleaning is something we all have to do. The longer between cleans, the worse the next one will be. The satisfaction after a good cleaning is worth every trouble. With anything preparation is key to success and cleaning your fridge is no exception. Be prepared, be determined, and keep your eyes on the goal.
