The Best Way to Be Happy with Less

Are You the Type of Person that Believes that Having More Makes One Happier?

The truth of the matter at hand is that money can make things more comfortable but it certainly can't buy happiness, unless you're materialistic driven person. The reality is that you can be a happy person even with a lot less than what you have now, and this isn't an overstatement.

If your goal is to learn how to become happier with what you have, you'll need to have acceptance, good management skills, a desire to focus on happy thoughts and planning enjoyable experiences.

Start by taking on the assumption that your current life will be as good as it gets, and assume that you won't be richer. This might sound depressing by itself, but research shows that people are more apt to be happy if they embrace what they have, and they don't constantly wish and hope to get more and more.

By no means am I saying that you should just settle, you should still work towards achieving your goals, but don't get caught up on them and become so eager that you stop enjoying your life. The more you believe the idea that more material stuff or money will make you happier, the less happy you'll be with your life.

Embrace the wise saying that goes "happiness is not possessing what you desire, but desiring what you possess". This isn't wise but it's also a wise proverb to live by.

Thinking that more money would make you happier isn't a wise assumption, the fact is that as long as you're making ends meet, the happiness scale doesn't change if you compare between poor, wealthy and the rest of us.

Make managing your money a fun task. Discovering ways to save cash can actually be as satisfactory as spending cash. Believe it or not even saving money has its science, if you do it right.

Dwell on your happy thoughts, studies concluded that those who think of positive events in their lives for 8 minutes a day for three consecutive days end up feeling better about their personal lives a month later. You'll never know unless you try it right?

In today's society shopping has become an addiction, but don't fall victim of this illness. Give your attention to things you can do instead of wasting your time thinking about things you can buy.

Stop and think for a moment, you will agree with me that positive life experiences give you more joy and pleasure than possessions. The feelings and emotions involved in life experiences last much longer if not a lifetime where happiness that comes from material things vanishes soon after we buy whatever we thought would make us happier.
