The Proper Way to Enjoy This Sweet Treat
Poptart Ala Mode - This does not work for frosted poptarts. Slap an unfrosted poptart such as the cinnamon and brown sugar kind in the microwave and then smother in butter, ice cream or cool whip. Reminds me of apple pie.
Poptart Sandwiches - This is one of my personal favorites and it is way beyond decadent. Take two poptarts and cram them in the toaster. When they are nice and warm smear a bunch of ice cream on them and press them together into a sandwich. Yum!
Deep fried - Oh these are so delectable you won't be able to just eat one. No way, no how. There is nothing in the world like a deep fried poptart. Give it a try and I guarantee you'll be converted.
Toasted - This seems to be the most common way to eat poptarts. They toast fairly easily and it only takes seconds to turn them into hot gooey filled pastries. I wonder if poptarts really are considered pastries. If you have the answer to that please let me know.
Straight out of the package - who doesn't eat poptarts this way? Next to toasted this is the number 2 most common way to eat a poptart. Rip open the cellophane and enjoy.
Devour the crust last - I find this to be just weird but apparently there are people that break open their poptarts, separate the center from the crust and eat that part first. I don't know why eating the crust last makes poptarts taste better but some people on Yahoo 360 claims it does.
Dunked in milk - I think I could get behind this one. When your poptart is nice and warm dunk it in a giant glass of ice cold milk.
Frozen - Sounds like it would bust your teeth doesn't it? It doesn't though and Kellogg actually sells a poptart freezer container. My son has ordered several of these and this is his favorite way to eat poptarts; especially the chocolate chunk kind.
Double fisted - Greedy bastards. You have some serious poptart addictions if you have to use both hands to eat a poptart. What is wrong with you people?
Frosting side down - There is a scientific reason for eating a poptart this way. Most of your taste buds are on the top of your tongue so if you want to taste the frosting you have to turn the poptart upside down.

Post a CommentI tried frozen with milk then toasted hot fugde sunday and cut it up in little pieces then put it in vanilla icecream or melt ice cream then smere it over my pop tarts put it ine the freezer then eat it
another really good way...but is really bad for you!!!....is toast cherry pop tarts and as soon as they are done spread butter on them! its fantastic
remember to take the poptart out of the wrapping if you are going to put it in the microwave. this kid burned down my dorms when i was in college b.c he failed to remove the poptart from the aluminum package.
I opted for the toaster strudels, over poptarts. They just taste better. Now, I can't eat either (pout). Cute article.

No way. Crust first. Frosting and filling last. Some of the other ways you mentioned give me a tummy ache just thinking about it.
