There are lots of websites available to help with your food storage planning, purchasing and utilization.
Walton Feed
Practically any "Food Storage" related internet search will result in a link to Walton Feed at or near the top of the list. Walton Feed is located in Idaho and has been in business for 54 years. They have been providing dehydrated foods and supplies for immediate use and long term food storage for over 20 years.
Walton Feed not only offers a huge selection of dried foods, organic foods and sprouting seeds for food storage, they also have many food storage supplies like wheat grinders, food grade buckets, oxygen absorption packets, water storage supplies, food storage cookbooks and emergency supplies.
There is plenty of information on Walton Feed's website about how to store foods so that they remain healthy, safe and pest free for as long as possible. You can download the printable catalog on-line and order, but the best way to get a deal on shipping is to get together with lots of other people and put in a group order. However, if you live near Montpilier, Idaho or will be traveling through that area, you can pick up your order at the Walton Feed warehouse.
Walton Feed is a great resource for purchasing food staples in bulk. Their prices are great and they offer lots of different options for long term storage.
Provident Living
Providentliving.org is a website developed by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. You won't find food storage items for sale here, but you will find plenty of information on how to start storing food. It is very user friendly and directed at those just learning about food storage.
One of the best features on this site is the food storage calculator. By entering the number of people in your family and their ages, you can get a detailed list of essential items to have in your food storage. You can see the recommendations and make changes based on your family's likes and dislikes.
There is a selection of recipes for using wheat, legumes, oats, powdered milk and other food storage items in your cooking. The "general cooking tips" site even has information on using egg substitutes, seasonings and butter and margarine to make your food storage cooking work better for you.
If you are looking for specific answers to how to store, what to store and how to use your storage, ProvidentLiving.org is a great site to explore.
Emergency Essentials
Emergency Essentials can be found at beprepared.com. This site has a huge selection of food storage items including many freeze dried, dehydrated foods and MREs. You can purchase a year supply of food in one fell swoop. A 4 person, gourmet year's supply costs $12,299.95, but smaller, less gourmet and less expensive selections are available.
You can also purchase food items one at a time to fill in your existing food storage. The web site has not only recipes, but many articles on food storage, as well as emergency preparedness. Articles range in topics from how to put together food storage on a shoestring budget, growing your own food, and making sure you have comfort foods and non-food items in your food storage.
You will find anything you need to fill your food storage needs at Emergency Essentials at BePrepared.com.

The Provident Living website definitely has some great suggestions. I also love Emergency Essentials. Their prices are reasonable and they have great sales throughout the year. I'm on their e-mail and catalog list :) I haven't checked out Walton Feed yet. Great suggestions for someone who is just getting started!
