Wisdom from the Elders

Amanda Farrell
A nurse put together the most wonderful card for our wedding. It included a list of residents from a local nursing home. Here are some of their words of wisdom:

J.C. said
Don't make the kids eat everything.

Ed said
Don't worry, just be happy.

Mr. B said
Work at it, and work for money-- That's the main cause of problems.

One Rose said
Keep your bra and underpants on!!!

Another Rose said
You have to care about each other, learn to forgive.

And
Marriage is not a bed of roses. Don't go to bed mad.

Mr. A said
Keep communication open and be honest.

Mr. M said
Learn to live with each other's weaknesses.

Rita said
After you're married stay together, don't separate.

Mrs. F said
Listen to your husband a lot because he knows more than you do!

Bob said
Love is wanting what's best for your loved one.

And
Love is a decision, not an emotion.

Reggie said
Put both of your money together.

Mrs. L said
Make sure there's breakfast-- Never argue on an empty stomach!

One Anna said
Just keep your mouth shut! You know men, they always think they're right!

Another Anna said
Never starch his underwear, it will only make him itch!

And another Anna said
God brought you together, stay together and be happy.

A resident priest said
Become a sister!

Don't argue.

Mrs. Z said
Don't do it unless you're sure.

A housekeeper said
Don't do it!

The nurse who put this together said
