The many superstars of World Wrestling Entertainment have featured a wide arrange or outrageous costumes and gimmicks. One popular feature for wrestlers is the use of face paint for their character. There have been many times where face paint is used and successful and the paint has helped define the characters and make them so popular in the ring. Here is a look at the best WWE superstars with face paint.

Ultimate Warrior: The Ultimate Warrior is one of the very few who has won the WWE title and has face paint. During the early 1990s, the Ultimate Warrior was one of WWE's most popular superstars, taking on challengers like Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, and Macho Man Randy Savage. Every night he had different color face paint, and it usually matched the outfit that he was wearing to the ring. You knew he was in a long hard fought match when his paint would begin peeling off and reveal his face. His costume and face paint was so popular that his figures are some of the best selling in the Jakks Pacific Classic Superstars lineup.

Doink: On paper it seems like a clown wrestler would not be successful, but the WWE made the evil clown of Doink work. Doink had typical clown make-up, white face paint with coloring around the eyes and the mouth. One of his most memorable matches is against Crush at Wrestlemania 9, where a clone Doink appeared and confused the crowd, Crush, and everyone watching at home. Doink still puts on the make-up and does appearances today, exciting nostalgic fans with the popular clown gimmick.

Legion of Doom: Also known as the Road Warriors, the Legion of Doom dominated the WWE as soon as they arrived. Animal sticks true to his name with a spider painted on his forehead, and surrounds that with white, black, and red face paint. The design has changed throughout the years, but it was mainly that when he was in the WWE. Hawk has red and black make up surrounding both of his eyes in a spike like fashion. Together they look like a great tag team and their face paint helps define who they are.

Golddust: one of the weirdest wrestlers ever in the WWE was Golddust and his face paint helped define his weirdness. He has shiny gold paint all over his face, mixed with a little black, and all of that paint matches a full gold and black jumpsuit that he wrestles in. He has had a lot of success in the WWE, winning the Intercontinental title on multiple occasions, and even the tag team gold with his partner Booker T. His character is creepy enough, but with the added face paint, it makes him creepier and more memorable for fans.

Boogeyman: One of the more recent wrestlers to feature face paint on them is the Boogeyman. As if coming to the ring smashing clocks and eating worms was not strange enough, the Boogeyman features an elaborate face paint job that includes multiple colors and different designs that have changed numerous times.

As the WWE moves away from face paint, it is bound to make a comeback one day and wrestlers with the paint will start making an impact in the WWE.
