The New Beverly Hills 90210

90210 is Back and Better Than Ever

90210 is back with a spinoff of the series Beverly Hills 90210. The new 90210 series premiered on September 2, 2008 on the CW network. It airs on Tuesday evenings and stars Shenae Grimes (Degrassi: The Next Generation), Tristan Wilds (The Wire), Jessica Stroup (Reaper), AnnaLynne McCord (American Heiress, Nip/Tuck), Dustin Milligan (Runaway), Michael Steger (The Winner) and Ryan Eggold (Dirt) along with Rob Estes (Silk Stalkings, Melrose Place, Days of Our Lives) and Lori Loughlin (Full House, Secret Admirer).

Some of the cast members from the original Beverly Hills, 90210 also appear to reprise their original roles. Among those from the original Beverly Hills, 90210 cast are Jennie Garth, as Kelly Taylor, Shannen Doherty, as Brenda Walsh, Joe E. Tata, as Nat from the Peach Pit, and Ann Gillespie, as Kelly's mother, Jackie Taylor.

The new 90210 series is similar to the original Beverly Hills, 90210, in that it centers around a family who has moved to Beverly Hills with their children. In the original Beverly Hills, 90210 series, Jim and Cindy Walsh, moved from Minnesota to Beverly Hills with their two children Brandon and Brenda.

The show centered around Brandon and Brenda, played by Jason Priestly and Shannen Doherty (who left after 4 years) and their friends in the wealthy Beverly Hills, 90210 neighborhood. Brandon, Brenda and their friends attend the fictional West Beverly Hills High School and later many of them attended California University.

In the new 90210 series, Harry and Debbie Wilson move from Kansas to Beverly Hills with their two adoptive children, Annie and Dixon, after Harry accepts a job as the principal at West Beverly Hills High School. The show centers around Annie and Dixon and the challenges that they and their friends at West Beverly Hills High face.

Although I liked the original Beverly Hills, 90210 series and watched it pretty regularly, when I heard that there was going to be a new 90210 series, I had no intention of watching it. Then one day I happened to be changing channels and a show captured my attention. When I saw Jennie Garth, who played Kelly in the original Beverly Hills, 90210, I was pleasantly surprised to realize that I was watching the new 90210.

It was very interesting to see Kelly and some of the other familiar characters from Beverly Hills, 90210 and find out what had happened to them. You don't get to do that very often once a show goes off the air. But what really hooked me into the show was the excitement and entertainment that I found from watching the new characters and plot lines.

While the original Beverly Hills, 90210 was a very good show which was popular enough to have stayed on the air for 10 years, the new 90210 is even better than the old one. It's very engrossing and exciting. Each time an episode ends, you get a sense of disappointment that the episode is over and are left wanting to see more.

I would highly recommend that anyone who was a fan of the old series, Beverly Hills, 90210, check out the new 90210. You will be pleasantly surprised. In fact, even if you have never seen the old 90210, check out the new one. It is so good that it just may turn out to be your new favorite show.

I'll have to give it a look. I really liked the original show.

I love to watch the reruns of the old show on Soap Net. I watched it when it was on the air. I'm trying to get into the new one though; I mainly watch it to see what's going to happen w/ Brenda & Kelly! I think the newer characters have a long way to go though.

I watch it. I'm not sure if I should be embarrassed or not. :)

Sharon, good review. (^;^) I wasn't a regular viewer of the original 90210, so never got caught up in the story line. I can tell you really liked it, and I'm glad to hear the new 90210 isn't a big disappointment (as often is the case with remakes).

I used to like watching the old 90210 as a teenager. Perhaps I'll check the new one out too. Thanks, Sharon!

Glad to see Peach Pit Nat back on the show. He provided a sane stabilizing force to all the nutcases!
