The Witches Brew offers palm and tarot readings daily, and that may have been it's original hook, but on February 17th it was turned into a cabaret to host Auburn's very first drag show.

Female impersonator Madison De Vine (subject of the CCC and BCC documentary "High Heels and Duct Tape: The Confessions of a Teenage Drag Queen") made her big come back, after being killed off in 2006.

The Witches Brew was over packed with an audience of mixed sexual orientations. Not one person was dissapointed with the show.

The show opened with a mock funeral. Vocalist Kuiona came out and sang a beautiful song with an enchanting voice. Next, Medusa comes out to tell us a little about Madison's untimely death. Medusa was played by local celebrity Lydia Rosell (author of 'Images of America:Auburn's Fort Hill Cemetary').

In an attempt to bring Madison De Vine back from the 'depths of hell' (coincidently, it had been Lydia who convinced Tim to bring Madison back) Medusa reads out of her spell book to revive the deceased drag queen.

Madison De Vine
makes her first grand entrance, wearing a halo and a white robe. She does a song and dance number. Midsong, she strips off the angelic disguise to reveal a red, sexy devil dress.

There was song.
(Vocalist Kuiona, and DJ Biznezz)

There was dance. (And everyone lines up to stick dollar bills in Madison's bra for a lap dance.)

There was pulling audience members on stage. (To embarass them, give them a prize, and send them back on their way) There was comedy, that you were still laughing about the next morning.

There were female strippers. (Bait for the straights. Madison loves to convert.)

Of course, everyone who had made donations were thanked at the end, including wardrobe help.
sylist Jessica Ann and Tuxedo Junction were both gratefully acknowledged. Amberg Wine Cellars, Fingerlakes Movie Theatre, and Bath and Body Works were also thanked for donating prizes. Let's not forget Sally Toth and Nancy Heath (owners of The Witches Brew) for hosting the Resurrection of Madison De Vine.

The show ended with a 'surprise' for a straight crew member that Madison had made the butt of many jokes all night. He was called to stage and seated in a chair. "Number One" and "Number Two" return, and everyone is aware that those tuxedos are finally coming off. The girls stand behind him while Madison De Vine gives him a lap dance. The strippers dance, out of his sight.

Fortunately, Madison De Vine was such a blow out that there are sure to be more shows in the future.

There are a few important guidelines to follow if you are interested in attending a Madison De Vine show:

You must be 18 to attend. This is an adult show, obviously with sexual content. (No nudity though. Madison saves that for those she decides to take home.)

You must pay the affordable admission fee of $3. (Break open the piggy bank if you must!)

You must have a sense of humor. (If you are uptight, you will not enjoy yourself. I'm sure you would be used to that though.)

You must not be shy. (You must be prepared to be called on stage to face away from the audience and bend over to grab your ankles, so everyone can shout F* You!)

If you are not well endowed, you may want to stuff with a sock to prevent humiliation that will be compensated for by a gift basket of lotions. Above all else, you must leave your sexuality at the door! (If you are straight, it only takes a few drinks and Madison can fix that problem!
