"The Big Bang Theory": Sheldon's Top 5 Best Shots
Rubbing His Super-brain Powers in Everyone's Face, Sheldon's Best Shots Are Dead-on Funny
And what about Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons), the theoretical physicist nerd king who seems to be second only to Spock in lack of human emotion and logic? Never shy about speaking his mind or expressing any unedited thought, Sheldon is the nerd's nerd who idolizes the idea that superior logic will reign supreme - Bazinga! As Sheldon, Parsons seems to have a talent for delivering some of the most well-written, funny, and sharpest dialogue on TV today. Here are some of Sheldon's best shots.
Sheldon's Best Shot #1
Penny: "I'm a Sagittarius, which probably tells you way more than you need to know."
Sheldon: "Yes, it tells us that you participate in the mass cultural delusion that the Sun's apparent position relevant to arbitrarily defined constellations at the time of your birth somehow affects your personality."
Penny: "Participate in the what?"
Sheldon's Best Shot #2 -
"You have about as much chance of going out with Penny as the Hubble Telescope has of finding that at the center of each black hole there's a little man with a flashlight trying to find the circuit breaker."
Sheldon's Best Shot #3
Penny: "Can I ask you a question?"
Sheldon: "Given your community college education, I encourage you to ask as many as possible."
Sheldon's Best Shot #4
Sheldon: "Engineering: where the noble, semi-skilled laborers execute the visions of those who think and dream. Hello, Oompa Loompas of science!"
Sheldon's Best Shot #5
Sheldon: "You're not done with her, are you?
Leonard: "Our babies will be smart AND beautiful."
Sheldon: "Not to mention imaginary."
Let's face it, Sheldon is super-smart, neurotic, and talks way too much, and when he does it, people love it. Sure, there are the other supporting cast, and they have their funny moments, but they just aren't as funny as Sheldon. Viewers love the entire show but probably tune in each week to see this twenty-something, double doctorate, wunderkind do his stuff.
But don't let all that fool you, Sheldon has a warm kitty, soft kitty inside. Sheldon is sensitive only when it serves his purpose or when the other characters push him toward it. Love him or hate him, Sheldon is the must-see guy on super funny TV sitcom,"The Big Bag Theory." Watch it Thursdays on CBS. Oh yeah, be sure to knock three times before entering.
