Who would have ever thought that a TV show starring a bunch of brainy nerds would ever be such a hit? But there it is, a show that follows the exploits and adventures of super-nerd rocket scientists, physicists, and astro-engineers.

And what about Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons), the theoretical physicist nerd king who seems to be second only to Spock in lack of human emotion and logic? Let's face it, Sheldon is super-smart, neurotic, and talks way too much, and when he does it, people love it. Sure, there are the other supporting cast, and they have their funny moments, but they just aren't as funny as Sheldon. Viewers love the entire show but probably tune in each week to see this twenty-something, double doctorate, wunderkind do his stuff.

But don't let all that fool you, Sheldon has a warm kitty, soft kitty inside. Sheldon is sensitive only when it serves his purpose or when the other characters push him toward it.
