The Birth of Daniel

A Loving Memory of My Beloved Son Daniel

Maddy Fox
This is a poem I wrote shortly after the death of my beautiful son Daniel. I can still recall the birth of my sweet baby boy, as though it were only yesterday. I was blessed to have Daniel for 25 years and he was a true Angel long before he went to heaven. Life on earth is only temporary and will will be together again. Once again Mother and Son for all eternity!

The Birth Of Daniel

Nestled deep within my womb, a tiny fragment of life yet to be.

Two hearts beat as one, pounding rhythmically.

Bearing down, body trembling, drenched in perspiration.

With tear brimmed eyes that see only you, so wrinkled, discolored your skin tinted blue.

I gaze in amazement as you breathe in life's air.

Your skin now pale pink, round eyes that just stare.

Past pouty lips that resemble a flower, with an audible squeal, the silence you devour.

Placed upon my breast, again we are one.

Our future begins as Mother and Son.
