THe Birthday Blues
Around my birthday I get depressed and the birthday blues kick in and I feel like that my birthday don"t matter to anyone cause all my family and friends always forget that its my birthday. It"s just not the same when you where a kid and your parents made your birthday a very special day with presents.. balloons. cake. My mom would make us our favorite meal and invite our friends over for cake and ice cream. My brother"s birthday is 2 days after mine so we usually did the parties together which I didn't mind cause we had the same friends.
Now for my birthday I usually get taken out to dinner and then get some cake and ice cream from the store and bring it home to eat it. I don"t remember when I had a birthday party where I had all my friends and family over and everyone celebrated my special day.
I guess I expect too much on my birthday and wanted to be treated like a queen. Is that too much to ask for? how hard is it for my family and friends to call or even email me and just say happy birthday it"s really not that hard to do. SO this year I will not expect no extra treatment just a cake and some ice cream would make me happy. Someone to say Happy birthday . Without me reminding them what day is today. So i guess I will see next week who my true friends are and which ones of my family remembers.
My best friend Is going to have a birthday party for me on Friday which I am so happy about it. We always love parties and just a excuse for everyone to get together and have some fun. My birthday is close to Halloween so she thought it be fun if it was a costume party too. she is going to dress up like a pirate . I am going as a belly dancer ( going to use one of her outfits). I can"t wait it should be alot of fun. I hope it can bring me out of my birthday blues and cheer me up cause I could use something good in my life.

don't feel blue, dolly! Happy birthday..life is about living... and it's better than the alternative!!...not about being sad because we are another year older..I gave that up a long time ago..now 54..I can't wait to get older..then I will have more excuses :)
yeah...felt that way a couple of weeks ago for my thirty eighth birthday...and my son bought me this really nice music hookup for my phone..but he is using it..so yeah..I had a cake this year blew out the candles and my hair caught on fire..so I feel you!! But anyway HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
