The Black Goddess Rises

Stephanie Alford
Midnight's cool, gentle breeze
Danced happily across
Her scantily clad flesh
The moon shone down
Illuminating her already pale physique
The wolves summoned her
As she was their leader
Her almost naked body
Flew simultaneously with the wind
She stopped abruptly
When she reached the open space
Of a barren field
Crops demolished long ago
She sits down, crossing her legs
Closing her eyes
To invoke a power
Even greater than her
Her incantations are not in vain
The familiar mist begins to appear
Dancing all around her
As she lies back
Her body stretched out
And concocts yet another idea
To aid in her perfection
