As wireless communication becomes the post popular medium for consumers and business owners, everyone is gravitating towards the Blackberry.
Introduced by RIM, the Blackberry is not considered a cell phone in the business market but it is defined as a smart phone due to its advanced business software. This wireless device offers the following features: email, text messaging, phone browser, organizer, IM, GPS system, media player, camera, video recorder, and a blue-tooth device that allows consumers to utilize the device hands free.
With all these innovative features the Blackberry has become the most relevant and demanded product for computer and phone retailers. What used to be a tool for mainly Wall Street associates and executives is now becoming a must have product for everyone. Gone are the days of conducting business by talking for hours on cell phones.
As instant messaging and texting becomes a way of life for not just business minded consumers but for many people, the Blackberry has become a necessity. The idea of buying a basic cell phone seems to be diminishing.
The wireless advantage of the Blackberry is the most appealing aspect of the device. No matter where you are you can access the Internet. According to Computer World. Com, IDC Analyst Ramon Llames reports that the "Blackberry accounted for 44.5% of the U.S phone sales."
Its Wireless communication has even revamped traditional businesses who now include a blackberry as part of their required work tools. As the economy spirals downwards, companies that offer an Internet base through their services and sales have managed to stay above water.
On Blackberry.com, Advertisers define the smart phone by stating that: "It's the stylish way to get things done and a connection to everything that matters."
The Blackberry's business software and personal organizers simplify completing tasks and turning in reports for employees.
In his article, Road Warriors Still Picking the Blackberry (http://biz.yahoo.com/ibd/080521/general01.html), Investment Business Daily writer interviewed International Strategy and Investment analyst Bill Whyman for Investor.com who stated that: "Smart phones are the fastest-growing segment of the cell phone market. Smart phone shipments rose 50% last year vs. 11% for cell phones overall. Smart phones accounted for just 12% of total cell phones shipped last year, but that's double from three years ago. And the percentage is expected to keep growing."
The future is about instant communication not just for business people but also for the media, bloggers and the average person. The ability to write and post news within seconds is making the Internet a more traditional way of receiving information from the media. Today most magazines and newspapers have an on line edition that seems to be more profitable then the print media due to the demand of advertisers who are guaranteed exposure by page views and hits.
The Internet has become the quickest and most effective way to get things done and the Blackberry is an enormous contributing factor to this trend.
The smart phone's style is attracting the younger consumers who are already labeled as the Internet generation. Not only can someone organize and conduct their business on the Blackberry but it is appealing to the 30 and under crowd as well as teenagers.
The Blackberry offers extensive games that will keep game lovers pre-occupied. It also has a built in-camera to capture those unexpected moments of you, your friends or anyone you see. With quick downloading, you can transfer and share your personal pictures to everybody within seconds.
Everything in our world has become instant and anyone has the power to communicate their thoughts to the world. Website owners are able to constantly change or update their sites while on the go with their Blackberry. Consumers are able to receive e-mail messages the same way they receive phone messages with their Blackberry.
Blackberry is an effortless way to elevate and organize your business, appointments and life as well as monitor your websites.
So how does someone choose a Blackberry that suits their needs? Simply go to Blackberry.com and check out the wide selection. Most phone carriers such as Sprint, Verizon and At&T offer a great selection on Blackberries with a diverse selection of available styles.
With all that a Blackberry has to offer, the basic cell phone may become extinct. Only time will tell in our new era of advanced technology.

Post a CommentI would love to have one!
A very interesting article. I have started to rethink my reasons for NOT having a Blackberry after reading your article and noting your points. I have to admit, it was a very persuasive article, especially since I conduct 90% of my business on the Internet.
Great piece. Job well done on this one.
Indeed it could, technology marches forward. Nice article.
Yes, I love my Blackberry...I see why some refer to it as the "Crackberry" it is addictive, but even more useful.
Great topic choice, and so informative, thanks for this
Nice job. I think that the smart phone is a wonderful concept. Smart phones such as the Blackberry have become essential for people who conduct business on the go. I don't currently have one (I used to have a Treo and that was pretty handy as well), but I'm planning to get one in the very near future!!!
