Rogers Park residents are known for their grassroots activism and involvement in local politics, but did you know that many of them are also serving the community as bloggers? That's right! Without further ado, here are three of some of Rogers Park's loudest voices.

1. Bill Morton posts amazing pictures of community events and businesses on his blog, Rogers Park in 1000 Words. He also regularly posts links to local real estate news and current events, as well as speaking openly about his dislike of Alderman Joe Moore.

This will be an interesting blog to watch as the election approaches.

2. The Broken Heart of Rogers Park is a blog written by Craig Gernhardt about crime issues in Rogers Park. It doesn't get any more local than this. Gernhardt posts crime reports of gunshots fired, broken streetlights, and new graffiti from his home and from his walks around the neighborhood.

Thankfully, it's not all grim. He also tracks improvement efforts and positive community involvement in improving the landscape.

3. Al Iverson, blogger at Bacon Rodeo, writes about technology issues, his wife (Kate Harding, who blogs about fat acceptance), his Midwestern travels, and community happenings. His posts about the 'hood are conversational and mostly based on his personal experiences.
