The Body Electric

I Sing the Body Electric

Mike Hazelwood
Stethoscope in ear,
Beats the human heart,
Thumping in rhythm,
Pumping to an art.

The inside of man,
An intricate thing,
Blood vessels flow out
Life, our bodies sing.

Electric flows,
Through the brain in streams.
Body electrified,
Unknown network schemes.

Dancing Inwardly,
Immortal souls alive.
We are just pilgrims
It's Heaven we strive.

Don't take for granted,
Or creation defy.
We are grains of salt,
In the Master's eye.

He cares for everyone,
With individuality.
His true love stretches,
Through eternity.

Quite lovely. Now I can't get the "I Sing the Body Electric" song from the film, Fame, out of my head. Lol. :)
