Baby Face- Sensitive Skin Line like Washing with Water?

The Body Shop Aloe Gentle Toner - This is supposed to be one of The Body Shop's sensitive skin line.I have eczema so I was interested in trying The Body Shops natural line of toners.

I already have have a face wash that I use that helps control my eczema, but I like to refresh in the morning and sometimes after doing things where I get sweaty.

This toner retails for around $12.00 and comes in a 200ml or 6.7odd decimal ounces container. The first thing I noticed is that it is mildy unpleasant smelling.

Not overpowering, or medicinal, just very strongly scented of aloe. However, reading the ingredients and seeing "Water, Aloe Barbadensis Gel, Pentylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Sorbitol, Glycerin" as the only ingredients I not only understand the smell but the reason why this toner was such a let down.

After swiping on this toner I didn't notice any change in the feeling of my skin at all. In fact it felt like I had taken a cotton ball and swiped smelly scented tap water on my face. I felt like I should wash it off.

There was no increase in hydration, no cleansing feeling. I didn't notice my eczema seeming any less itchy or red from using it. For all the push this product has I have used L'oreal Nutri Pure Toner for dry skin and had better results for far less cost. In fact overall I would give this toner a rating of a 2 out of 5.

I would have given it a higher score if I felt it had done something or even had a pleasant smell. Overall I would say unless you are a die hard The Body shop fan I would skip this toner unless you have seriously sensitive skin and money to burn.
