Located in Hyde Park, the Bonbonerie Tearoom is quite popular with several area residents. Because of the popularity, lunch reservations are highly suggested. From 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM you can dine in the very small dining room which only holds about 30 guests. The dining room is decorated with an eclectic mix of mismatched tables and chairs, teapots hanging from the ceiling, brightly painted walls, and a very classic black and white tiled floor. If you visit on a cold day, bring your coat. The front door opens right into the dining area and because of the popularity of the Bonbonerie Tearoom, it will be opened quite frequently. Of course your hot tea will help you stay warm.
The Bonbonerie Tearoom menu features light lunch options including sandwiches, salads, fruit, and quiches. Many of the dishes include a sampling of the tearoom's specialties and often come with a small pastry to finish your meal. Of course if that isn't enough to satisfy your sweet tooth, the Bonbonerie tearoom connects directly to the Bonbonerie bakery counter where you will find countless options to really indulge your sweet cravings. The prices on the entire menu are reasonable. Most lunchs range from about $6.00-$10.00. Pastries are about $1.00-$4.00 each. A cup of tea is $1.50 and a small pot is just $3.50.
The highlight of the tearoom menu is of course the huge selection of teas. You can choose from over 75 teas which range from sweet, fruity apple and cherry black teas all the way to exotic green teas like jasmine, as well as plenty of herbal selections. You can order your tea by the cup or the pot. Your party's mugs won't match, and neither will your teapots. If you aren't a tea drinker, don't worry, there are some coffee selections available, as well as plenty of cold sodas and water.
The Bonbonerie Tearoom is a great place to celebrate an occasion, or just to enjoy a special lunch with friends or coworkers. The simplistic ambiance, deliciously light lunch menu, delectable pastry choices, and unbeatable array of tea selections makes the Bonbonerie Tearoom a must visit restaurant in the Cincinnati area.
