Liberal scholars hold too much of the book of numbers as a unhistorical book. They claim that part of it might be factual, but if you'll read Genesis and Exodus where the Lord talked with Moses it's all factual.
During the wilderness wanderings the phrase '˜ the Lord spoke to Moses' is read more than 80 times, also, it states '˜Moses wrote their goings out' liberal's argue this view in the statement within, Exodus- Numbers- and Deuteronomy, even the new testament records the authorship of the Mosaic.
Deuteronomy 31= 9---22 Moses claims that the laws were revealed to him.
Numbers 1=1 The Lord spoke to Moses in the wilderness.
Ch, 2=1 The Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, Moses brother.
V/ 3-4 The Lord spoke to Moses V/ 5-6 The Lord spoke to Moses.
Ch- 7 = 4 The Lord spoke to Moses. So we know the Lord spoke to Moses more than a few times telling him and Aaron that he would bless the children of Israel and he would cause his face to shine on them.
In this same chapter again the Lord speaks of the sacrifices of Rams, a Lamb, and a kid Goat. This was done as a dedication and anointing of the alter.
Ch- 8 = 1 The Lord spoke to Moses concerning the candlesticks, V/ 6 The Lord told Moses to separate the Levites from Israel and cleanse them, shave off their flesh, let them wash their clothes and make themselves clean, Aaron shall offer the Levites before the Lord and they shall lay hands upon the heads of the bullock for a sin offering and on the head of the Lamb for a burnt offering, this was an atonement for them.
V/ 21 The Levites were purified as God had told Moses to do. After the purification.
They went into the tabernacle to do service as the Lord had commanded.
In the old testament the people had a lot of cleansing to do before being allowed into the tabernacle, It was a holy place, Maybe If we had that kind of laws today people wouldn't be so apt to sin. This would be a substantial cleansing for as much as the world sins today.

Excellent! Very good break down of this. I was unfamiliar that anyone was saying such things about the "Bible". :) Its all true from cover to cover.
Just wonderful work Mildred. You could teach a Bible study or I could use this as a fine example of authorship in my M.A. work in Seminary on the authorship of books in the Old Testament. Outstanding.
You tell them Mildred.
Good work on this.
