A Short Poem About the Boston Bruins
The opened the gardens in 1924
They tore the building down in 1997
The official home of the Bruins was no more.
Now they have the fleetcenter a new era
A new time the Bruins enter.
Ah but remember the days when they first started out
Now that was something to shout about.
Everyone screamed when they retired Number 4
Everyone still loves Mr. Bobby Orr
Of Course would come others
Neeley, Bucyk, Borque and Espisito
All had their jerseys retired too.
Ah what a great team one of the original six
All of the wonderful players with some neat hat tricks.
You will recall in 1972 was the last time if you are a fan like me
The last time we got an official visit by our friend Lord Stanley?
