The Box
Original April 8, 2008
I keep my inspiration,
In a box on the floor,
When I feel a certain deflation,
I open it up and look for a little more.
Images and emotions,
Fill each little nook,
Just filed away notions,
Of a thought or a look.
Some are covered in dust,
Forgotten with age,
While others I trust,
On each and every page.
There are pieces to smile,
And pieces on which to wonder,
Items so versatile,
They tear your thought asunder.
So I dig in today,
And I find one to inspire,
Then I put it away,
And wait to the next time I aspire.
