The Box

Anita Biase

Don't try to stuff me in a box

All pretty, square and red;

'Cause when you try to shut the lid

You'll bop me on the head.

Don't poke me in a closet,

(that dark one in the hall)

if you do, I'll melt like ice

and slip right through the wall.

Don't stick me in a bag head first

And tie it at the top,

if you do, I'll wiggle hard

and out my feet will pop!

The moral of this tiny tale?

Most important part by far

Don't try to figure people out-

Just love them as they are!
