The Boycott of Absolut Vodka is On

Absolut Spits on American Borders with Its Out of Control Advertisng

Hundred of American organizations are promoting a boycott of Absolut Vodka for their irresponsible advertising. Over 100 organizations who are concerned with American border security have signed on to the boycott because of an advertisment ran in Mexico which to sum it up sucks up to the belief many Mexicans have that the Southwester part of the United States is theirs. This boycott is being organized by The National Illegal Immigration Boycott Coalition who is remembered for their previous boycotts against Bank of America and the Miller Brewing company. William Gheen of Americans for Legal Immigration PAC has went on the record saying "Absolut vodka is trying to sell liquor to Mexicans that aspire to control the Southwest United States." "The warning signs are everywhere. Illegal immigration is creating a rising threat to our existing border lines and the very existence of the United States. Everywhere we look, global corporations have a hand in this brewing disaster and Absolut just made the list."

It is just out of control what a corporation will now suggest to persuade consumers to buy their product. All of these organizations will be contacting their members through various ways to urge them to join in on boycotting Absolut Vodka. Zogby polls show that most Mexicans feel they do not need American permission to come and leave the United States as the please because they regard this land as belonging to Mexico.

If your interested in joining in on the boycott you can follow a link on the side of the page to a website that will give you all the information you need to join up. If your interested in getting in contact with the makers of Absolut products, Pernod Ricard, a French firm just purchased them from the Swiss government in March of 2008. Drop them a line and let them know you think this is unacceptable corporate behavior and you regard them as a bad corporate citizen. Absolut is the third largest brand of alcohol consumed on the planet behind Bacardi and Smirnoff. Absolut's largest market is the United States of America so a successful boycott there would of significant financial impact on the new owner of Absolut.

Personally all I can say is that I find it surprising that corporations still believe they can get away with such behavior with so many people watching them now. So many people are now aware that big business and government are in bed together and scratch each others back way more than they do the people that buy their products or the people who elected them. Everywhere you look you find new corporate tax breaks while each day new taxes are though up for just regular people like me and you. Ask yourself what you can do about this and make a plan and start it today.
