The Brick House staff was warm and inviting, however there were a few minor noticeable mistakes in appearance, for example, I noticed that none of the waitresses wore nametags (this I feel is essential for the "getting to know you" kind of feel).
Our food was ordered and received in a timely manner. The food wasn't top notch quality like I had expected from the classy exterior of the building. I had order Buffalo Shrimp Pasta-and am not used to eating spicy foods, needless to say my mouth was on fire! Upon asking the waitress for some milk she replied, "We are actually out of milk right now." So I downed my sprite in hopes it would help, and it didn't. So I finished the shrimp, which ironically didn't seem to be so spicy and I left the pasta to take home-were I knew I would have some milk!
Pictures of 50's mascara ads and paintings of martini's and hard liquor lined the walls. Tiled black and white floors with matching black tables and steel chairs fill the giant room; which is sectioned off into three major sections, the bar, the middle and the carpeted dining area. Along the bar there are two jukeboxes and two virtual video games on either side. The back wall is lined with liquor, of course, and four TV's each one on a different channel.
The outward appearance was clean but the inside of the establishment in certain areas you could see cleaners, papers, and other junk jammed behind a grate on your way to the bathroom. The bathroom itself is a place where you can really tell how clean the restaurant really is was under stocked( by which I mean, almost no soap, no toilet paper, no toilet seat covers, overflowing trash cans, and of course leaking faucets) was outwardly disgusting.
Out of five stars I would give it an overall three and a half stars. Good service, good food, great background environment, but their cleanliness needs work and they need to improve their stocking abilities.
