Bridgestone Turanza EL42 Ride Quality
When we purchased our Honda Odyssey we were stepping down in size from a Chevy Suburban that had an immaculate ride. Our initial response to the ride quality was what you would expect out of a mini van, it was OK but not spectacular. I have recently changed tire brands to a different model and the ride of our van was noticeably worse. I drove back to the shop and returned them and begged them for a set of Bridgestone Turanza EL 42s. I paid a small restocking fee, but it was worth it. From the moment the Turanza's were put back on our, van drove like a new vehicle again. These tires are well balanced and hug the road great. We have had many instances where we had to make a quick avoidance turn, and several times we had to brake hard. The Turanza tires handled everything we had to throw at them despite being unevenly worn due to my lack of maintenance. A properly maintained tire will do even better.
Bridgestone Turanza EL42 Road Noise
Any time you don't rotate your tires as you should you need to expect addtional road noise. I must admit that now that we have a new set of tires on our van that the road noise is much less noticeable. The new tires make it much more enjoyable to have a conversation in the car. We were pleasantly surprised that we could turn the radio down a few notches just because of the decreased tire noise.
Bridgestone Turanza EL42 Warranty
The Bridgestone Turanza warranty does not include a mileage expectation. The Warranty covers uneven wear that may occur with proper maintenance. Seeing as how I didn't provide proper maintenance I must admit my surprise at just how well these tires have worn. The tires have worn evenly across all treads and have shown no signs of flatspotting. We got 57,000 miles out of our Bridgestone Turanza EL42s and I was very happy with this. Had we taken the time to properly maintain our tires we could have easily gotten 65,000-75,000 miles out of them.
Bridgestone Turanza EL42 Price
We purchased 4 brand new Bridgestone Turanza EL42s for $539 dollars. I am very pleased with this price especially considering they were about 50 dollars cheaper than the set I exchanged them for. From my shopping around I have found that the Bridgestone Turanza is a good value and can usually be found around $110-$120 per tire. A great value.
Overall I am very happy with the our new tires and hope these last me longer than my previous set. Here's hoping this Bridgestone Turanza EL42 Review helps you in selecting your next set of tires.

This is very good info. I am planning to buy Bridgestone - Turanza EL42
for my odyssey 2007 Ex. My Michelin tire lost at 29K
I have a set on my 1999 Caravan and the road noise after 20K miles is LOUD! My tires are rotated & balanced every 6K and tire inflation is checked regularly. When it's time to replace them, I'm going back to the BF Goodrich Touring series.
Good review, well written and informative
