The Brigade Alliance Crumbles on Big Brother Season 12 Ep 23

Brigade Alliance, What Brigade Alliance?

Sunday Night was a fun night in the Big Brother house because we are down to the final five and it is always entertaining to see which alliances are stronger than others. The beginning of the show was devoted to all of the action that went down on Double Eviction night. It was great to see what happened behind the scenes after Hayden won the HOH competition and had to put up two people. Ragan was the intended target and nobody was expecting him to win the Power of Veto. Hayden told Brendon that he was a pawn and Brendon asked that Hayden just not pick Britney over him. The goal was to evict Ragan because his former house BF Matt let the Brigade know that Ragan was on to that alliance. So when Britney went up in place of Ragan, Brendon thought the Brigade would save him. Of course, we already know that Brendon was sent to the jury house. Enzo said that Brendon could go to the jury house with his woman and make ugly babies. Britney who has wanted Brendon gone for quite some time is happy that the Neanderthal is out.

The next day is Day 56 in the house and Britney and Ragan discuss that they have to win in order to stay. The Brigade has a discussion about who to put up. If anybody but Lane wins, all will be fine and they can put up Ragan and Britney without too many problems. However if Lane wins, and he puts Britney up, all hell would break loose because Britney and Lane have an alliance and she doesn't know about the Brigade alliance. I can't figure out why Ragan hasn't just outright told Britney about the Brigade alliance yet. Maybe he is saving it for a time when it will be more dramatic.

It is now time for the HOH competition and it's called Take The House. The house guests will take turns trying to maneuver a ball in the slots of the two cards that the house picks. They get five balls and the person who gets the two cards with the least amount of balls wins. Britney gets eliminated first, and then Enzo, who is consistently terrible at competitions, gets eliminated next. It is down to Ragan and Lane. Lane, who was hoping Enzo would win so he wouldn't have to choose between Britney or a Brigade member now has to win.

Lane is up first and he hits both cards in five shots. Ragan goes next and misses on his first three tries. On the fourth try, he gets the ball on the ace and has one ball left. There is a commercial break and I am on the edge of my seat. Back from the commercial break, Ragan misses on the last ball and Lane is the new Head of Household.

Lane must now make the difficult decision of who to put up as a pawn. Ragan is depressed that he could be going home but vows to fight to stay in the competition. It is now time to see Lane's HOH room. Britney says she is finally excited to see someone's HOH room since she and Lane are close. The Brigade brothers want to see "The Beast's" family. As Hayden is playing with the hard hat and asks Lane if this is what he wears to the oil rig, Lane reveals that he just takes people out golfing and to dinner. In essence, he gets to schmooze all day. Later in conversation, Hayden and Britney suggest that Lane doesn't need the $500,000 because his family is wealthy. Hayden likes that Britney says this because he thinks that is another vote for him.

Enzo is going a little crazy in the house or it could be the penguin suit that is driving him nuts. He kind of goes spastic and starts doing some weird things to the weight lifting equipment in the penguin suit. Back to sanity or insanity, Enzo says in the diary room that Lane needs to just stop playing and put Britney up.

Meanwhile upstairs, Lane is given the choice to open Pandora's Box. His temptation on screen is a money tree with gold jewelry and envelopes. His clue is that it is a money tree and on it is a chance to win up to $10,000. Lane probably took the most time ever considering whether to open Pandora's Box or not. In the end, he falls for the temptation of the money and decides to open the box. Once inside the room he has to pick three envelopes to try to get to $10,000. The first envelope is $79. The second is $12. And in the last envelope is .17. To sum it up, Lane chose for something bad to happen to the house in exchange for $91.17. And it doesn't take long for something bad to happen because when the house guests go outside and come back in, all of their silverware and cups have disappeared. They have to go without any utensils and cups for an entire week. Lane gets dirty looks as everyone eats from bowls with their fingers.

Up in the HOH room, Lane asks Britney if she wants to be a pawn. Britney says no because she just got off the block. She is wondering why Lane wouldn't just put up one of the other guys since she has been close with Lane since Day One. Lane then goes to his Brigade brothers and asks which of them want to go up. Neither Enzo or Hayden want to naturally.

At the nominee ceremony, Britney is the first key pulled. Enzo immediately looks betrayed. Ragan already knows he is going up so it was no surprise when Britney told Hayden that he was safe. Enzo is pissed off and calls Lane an expletive in the diary room. Lane counters in the diary room and saying that Enzo hasn't won any competitions and maybe he should go instead of Britney. I think the Brigade alliance is crumbling before our eyes and if Hayden can hold on, he may have $500,000 more dollars in addition to his Hawaii trip and 5 grand. This show has already been good but now it is only getting better. Happy Watching Folks!
