The first thing you want to do is make sure your eyebrows are lush and well-groomed in order to get the bronze smoky eye look. If you have thinner eyebrows or your hair is very light it would be a good idea to use an eyebrow pencil to fill in your eyebrows. You do not want an overpowering look to your eyebrows so do not extend the eyebrow pencil further than where your eyebrows are naturally. You can get eyebrow pencils in various colors at your local retail store for about three dollars.
Lid primer is an option that you could use if you want to get the bronze smoky eye look. What you need to do is apply some of the liquid lid primer over your eyelid. The lid primer will help stop the makeup from creasing on your eyelid and can help keep your bronze smoky eye look smooth. The lid primer will also help keep your eye shadow and other makeup from wearing off or smearing. You can get liquid eyelid primer at your local retail store for about eight dollars.
You then need to use eyeliner as your next step to get the bronze smoky eye look. Gray colors work best to help achieve the bronze smoky eye look and so does a brown eyeliner. You should not use black eyeliner to get the bronze smoky eye look because it can be too aggressive looking. What you need to do is apply a thin line around the upper eyelashes which will help make your lashes look thicker. After you do the top eyelashes, you can apply a thin layer of eyeliner to your bottom lashes making the eyeliner come out a little beyond your eye. You should take the eyeliner and make an upward line extending past your eye to make your eye look lifted and make your eyes look younger. The eyeliner can be found at most local retail stores for about two dollars and there are many different shades of gray and brown to choose from.
The next step to get the bronze smoky eye look is to apply your eye shadow. You should use a lighter neutral shade of eye shadow for the base. Make the eye shadow go from the lower edge of your eyelid up toward your eyebrow bone. Make sure you blend the eye shadow well before you go on to the next step. You will then need to apply gray eye shadow along the eye going downwards to your eyelash line. You need to make sure both of these eye shadow colors are blended together well so that you do not have signs of layers of color. You can get a lot of different eye shadow shades in a small container that have a lighter and darker version of a color. Most eye shadow will cost you about five dollars at your local retail store.
The next step to get the bronze smoky eye look is to curl your eyelashes and apply mascara. This is an optional part of the bronze smoky eye look because you do not need it but it will enhance the overall appearance. Curling your eyelashes and applying mascara will make your smoky eye look more pronounced and it will overall make your eyes look bigger and brighter. You should only use brown mascara or light black mascara depending on your skin tone in order to achieve the bronze smoky eye look. You can get mascara and eyelash curlers at your local retail store for about 15 dollars all together.
