If you want to move to Canada to live and work and have your sights set on moving to the province of New Brunswick then there might be a way to fast track your way to Canada. The New Brunswick provincial nomination visa program is a visa program specific to the province of New Brunswick and is aimed at attracting people that are interested in living and working in the province of New Brunswick. Under the New Brunswick provincial nomination visa program you cannot live or work anywhere else in Canada other than the province of New Brunswick until you obtain Canadian citizenship, which takes three years.

The New Brunswick provincial nomination visa program is for people that have skills and experience that would be an asset to the province and either have a permanent full time job offer or can start a business that will create jobs for others in the province. If you are approved to come to Canada under the New Brunswick provincial nomination visa program then you will instantly become a permanent resident of Canada, provided you sign an affidavit that you intend to live and work in the province and no other. After only three years as a permanent resident you can apply to be a Canadian citizen. Once approved for citizenship you are allowed to live and work anywhere in the country and are no longer tethered to New Brunswick.

Under the New Brunswick provincial nomination visa program you can only apply for your self if you will be intending to start a business in the province. If you have a permanent full time job offer from an approved company in the province then that employer will have to apply on your behalf. The New Brunswick provincial nomination visa program does utilize a points based assessment to gauge your skill and experience levels. The plus to going the New Brunswick provincial nomination visa program route as opposed to the skilled worker visa route is that applications the New Brunswick provincial nomination visa program are fast tracked above the work permit visas.

Under the guaranteed job offer route you will need to have an offer of permanent employment from a company in New Brunswick. That company will apply to have you nominated to the program. A guaranteed job offer is categorized as being permanent and full time, a position that accurately reflects your education, experience and skills, and located in the province of New Brunswick. If the position is listed on a skills shortage list then the application is given higher priority.

Under the business plan route you will need to submit a detailed business plan that must be approved on its economic benefits to the province. You will need to have business experience and have made at least one prior trip to the province to meet with officials about the plan. You will also have to show proof of financial resources. A higher priority is given to plans that create jobs in the province.

Hi,my husband and I are planning to move to New Brunswick from Ireland via the PNP in a few years time. Currently I'm studying for a Bsc in Software Development and my husband is doing a Bsc in Criminology. New Brunswick seems perfect for us, beautiful countryside, low crime rate, not too crowded, affordable housing and childcare...all in all a great move! We are trawling the net like crazy trying to discover as much as we can about NB. Cant wait to move!

I have a BA degree in Psychology from the University of California. I have been teaching and counseling individuals and families in a personal counseling practice, called Beginnings. It focuses on Effective Communication Keys and Issues. It has been successful in the state of California. I now wish to relocate to New Brunswick and I have bought a home and property here. I wish to be a Permanent Resident of New Brunswick. Thank You, Elizabeth
