The Bucktown Holiday Art Show: A Winter Holiday Tradition of Innovative Art

Textures, colors and spectacular art describe the cultural enticement of the Bucktown Holiday Art Show. Imagine giving the gift of original art to loved ones this year. Brian Mattson developed the holiday art show promote Bucktown artists during the winter, since its inception the Bucktown Holiday Art Show has become a Bucktown community event. The fair has become a place where neighbors can support their local artists and find original gifts for the holidays.

Bucktown civic organizers select 100 local artists to participate and sell their imaginative and often inspired works. The art show keeps overhead costs affordable for these local artists by hosting a silent auction during the art show. Participating artists donate their artwork in support so visitors can bid on art at reduced prices and still support the local artist community in Bucktown.

Art lovers can expect to experience art in all its media forms including rich textiles, photography, lush watercolors and oil creations, handmade jewelry and colorful ceramics. This year's artists include handcrafted jewelry from LMN designs, stylish handmade hats from Cool Warm Hats and innovative pottery designs from Erick Tolnai.

The Holstein Park Fieldhouse located in the middle of Bucktown at 2200 N. Oakley Avenue will host the 12th Annual Bucktown Holiday Art Show on December 11 and 12. Art show hours are from noon to 5 pm and admission is $2.
