The Busy Girl's Guide to Staying Fabulous This Holiday Season

Monica Bullock
This holiday season every busy girl wants to look fabulous. Even though you will be entertaining, attending social events, shopping and playing Santa, you can look your holiday best. Use the busy girl's guide to staying fabulous this holiday season to look and feel better while roasting chestnuts and snuggling with the one you love.

Skip the Appetizers

The holiday season is the appetizer season. Unfortunately, appetizers are usually loaded with delicious but fattening dairy products. When attending dinner parties or eating out, you should pass on the appetizer course. This little sacrifice will pay off when you want to wear a sexy, snug skirt Christmas Eve.

Fabulous Purse and Shoes

Buy a swanky purse and shoe set before the holidays begin. Review your holiday wardrobe before purchasing your new set to make sure your new accessories complement your seasonal garments. When buying shoes, remember that you will spend a lot of time on your feet so if your ankles can't handle 3-inch heels, you should go lower. Stylish glitzy purses with a shoulder strap will be easy to carry safely.

Bronze Makeup

Bronze isn't just for summer-it's great for getting a holiday glow. Purchase a sexy bronze eyeshadow and lipstick with a bronze tint to it. Sweep bronzing powder across your forehead, cheeks and nose for gorgeous color. Get luminosity with a gold toned or pink toned highlighter bronzing powder.

Holiday Jewelry

All eyes will be on you when you don your sparkly holiday jewelry. Spend a few bucks on a glitzy pendant necklace and earring set. Small rhinestone pendants or even a diamond pendant will make you look special and fabulous no matter what you are wearing.

Mini Exercises

While getting to the gym is nearly impossible for busy women, especially during the holidays, you can squeeze in some mini exercises. Try doing some shimmies and mini exercises while cooking, cleaning and wrapping your presents. Here's how to do it.

Shimmies: Bellydancers shimmy while they dance. Do this controlled movement by standing still and bending each knee slightly independently. This fast movement is called a shimmy. Shimmy while you fold clothes or mix up a batch of cookies.

Soup Can Lifts: Before opening those soup cans for your holiday cooking, do a few soup can lifts. Lift the cans over your head several times to tighten up flabby arms.

Stomach Controlling Exercises: Pull in your stomach while doing four counts. Pull in your stomach twice on the one-two count. Release your stomach on three-four counts. Do this repeatedly to tighten your stomach muscles for the holidays.

Okay busy girls, take a few shortcuts and get ready for looking fabulous this holiday season!
