The Call Goes Unanswered

The Ringing Will Not Be Silenced..

Janet Hunt
The phone rings

The echoes scream through the air

Louder and Louder

They menace the mind

Impending doom awaiting to be received

Demanding to be heard

Ignoring my plea

The incessant ringing

Keeps coming for me

Why can't I make myself pick up that phone?

If I don't answer...

You can't say goodbye

And I won't know...

I am alone...
