The Candlewood Suites in Centennial, Colorado is a Great Place to Stay!

South of Denver, no more than 10 minutes from the downtown area is a community named Centennial, Colorado. Easy access to the city of Denver enhances the beauty of this area. Centennial provides the traveler with all the amenities of the bigger city, but without all of the headaches associated with traveling in larger cities.

Candlewood Suites is located off Interstate 25, in southern Colorado. Merge onto Exit 197, merge again (east), on to Arapahoe Rd., and then make a right turn (south) onto Galena St. The Candlewood Suites will be on your left. The parking lot is a little 'tight' to turn into if you are driving a large extended vehicle, but if you are in a standard sized auto or small minivan it's not too hard to maneuver. When this writer has stayed at this location, the parking lot has been full of both autos and snow, making the parking situation a little hairy but I thank the Lord for those 3-point turn lessons in Driver's Education!

This location is great as far as touristy stuff goes. Fast-food eateries, as well as full sized restaurants surround the hotel. Landry's Seafood, Brother's BBQ, Sushi Kazu Japanese, Souper Sandwich and Smiling Moose Deli are just a few places within a couple block radius; retail shops are nearby with convenient access.

To get to Denver all one has to do is hop back up on Interstate 25 and head north. On the other hand, you can turn west on Arapahoe Rd. for a nice drive to the Rockies, the view is magnificent.

I have to reiterate the convenience of staying at this hotel! The traffic is very manageable. If you have ever traveled into downtown Denver during rush hour, you are aware of the congestion level on the highways. If you have never been there during peak traffic hours, there is no good reason to experience it in this lifetime!

The Candlewood Suites have recently remodeled and the update is great. There are new comfortable beds with cozy bedding, leather recliners in the rooms, hardwood flooring, and kitchenettes filled with all utensils. The rooms are spacious with extra seating as well as desks, free Wi-Fi, and a flat screen TV, making it very efficient. My reservation is always for a week, and my rate based on weekly charges averages $50.00 a night.

Laundry facilities for guests are on the first floor and all washers and dryers are free to use. Detergent is 50 cents a box per load. The Laundry facilities are inside the "store". This Candlewood locations store provides microwave snacks as well as refrigerated foods and beverages at reasonable prices, with the store being on an honor system. (That amazes me!)

Let us not forget the most important amenity; -- this Candlewood Suites location is animal friendly with a small pet fee.

The staff is exceptional in the help category. They are knowledgeable regarding Centennial, but also surrounding areas. They are able to direct customers to restaurants, Pike's Peak, Denver proper, and just about anywhere else you may want to visit.

Considering the quality for the price, then, adding in the convenience of location, friendly staff, free laundry and pet friendliness, this writer feels this hotel is well worth the stay. The renovations give the feel of a much more expensive hotel without the higher price. For a day, week or month the town of Centennial, Colorado and the Candlewood Suites help make the trip memorable. Come, visit Candlewood Suites, and experience it for yourself, you will not be disappointed.
