The Case of the Missing Manners - a Poem

Where Have the Good Manners Gone?

Lori Worsencroft
Manners are defined as a person's outward bearing
But it's the lack thereof that leaves me swearing

Where the manners have gone, I'm not sure
But certainly someone can find a cure

Isn't there a foundation or a place to vent
I'd pay money to see where they went

Are they in hiding and only come out when needed
If that's the case, are they conceded

Do they blow with the wind, are they light as a feather
Or are they in a secret clique, hanging out together

Well, the good news is they can come back
But tragically, it's often after a humbling whack

So, get your manners out and put them up on display
So this poem isn't written about you some day
