It is a small, hole in the wall type place when you first look at it, but inside is some of the best catfish you can get!

My husband and I went to The Catfish Hut for lunch during a time when they were not very busy. Most places, this will result in getting cold food and slow service. Here, though, we received friendly, southern hospitality and amazing food. I ordered the small portion of fried catfish filets. Not only did I get two large catfish filets, but I also got my choice of two sides and hushpuppies. For my sides, I chose cheese grits and corn fritters. The sides and the catfish were all piping hot and fresh. The catfish was clean in taste and the batter was very crispy. This was my first time having cheese grits and they were delicious. The corn fritters are little lumps of creamed corn inside batter that has been fried. Everything was delicious, and the price was just right. My meal was less than ten dollars. My husband ordered a bacon cheeseburger with all the fixings and it was one of the best cheeseburgers we have had as well.

Not only was the food great, but the atmosphere at The Catfish Hut was great and the service was friendly and efficient. There were fishing style decorations on all the walls, and the paint was fresh and bright. There are a lot of windows, so there is always a beautiful view for your family to enjoy. Our waitress was very friendly and we never had to ask for refills. In Pensacola, Florida, The Catfish Hut definitely shines bright among affordable, family friendly restaurants. You will be hard pressed to find better catfish in Pensacola, Florida. Overall, we were very satisfied with the food, service, and décor.
