The Cedars

Jenna de Salea
The Cedars hold my hope-
The Cedars hold my pain
The Cedars hold my strength-
They also hold my fears.

I look at them stretched heaven-bound
All the things I'm missing, found.
Strong at the core
Evergreen at the ends
Summer comes
Winter goes
The Cedars stand true.

The Cedars don't open arms to heaven-
The way an oak does
The glory isn't obvious,
The glory is just because.

I look to them everyday
To bring me back home.
Strong at the core-
Evergreen forever more
The Cedars are my truth.
