'The Celebrity Apprentice' Shocks Viewers Leaving Two to Battle it Out on 5/16/2010

OMG!

Last week, Cyndi Lauper was sent home, though the project manager, Holly Robinson should have been. At least in my opinion. Usually, when a team loses the project manager is sent home, and in most cases should be. That leaves Sharon Osbourne, Bret Michaels, Maria Kanellis, Curtis Stone, and Holly Peete as the final five competitors.

But, Donald Trump likes to throw people for a loop, and quickly he brought everyone back into the board room. The final five waited to be fired, and they knew it was coming, at least most of them did. The Donald admitted three would be fired today. He gave each person the chance to say why they shouldn't be fired. And then he let Holly call out the weakest player, she said Maria. I disagree. I don't know anyone how would want Holly on their team. At the same time I wouldn't call Holly a weak player. But what about Curtis?

Then, The Donald asked Sharon who the weakest player was. She was forced to say someone and she called out Maria. Then he asked Sharon about Holly, and I hoped she would call her out. She compared Holly to a lioness, and Sharon revealed she didn't know if she wanted to beat Holly or not. I was disappointed, completely. Though I understood, as a mother, why she thought it. Sharon may be going home now.

And then boom, Donald Trump fired Maria Kanellis. Everyone said Maria was the weakest player. I thought Curtis Stone was the weakest player, but what do I know. It was unfounded and embarrassing the way Maria was fired. I was certainly let down the way The Donald fired her, for telling the truth. But Maria doesn't always know when to keep her mouth shut. I admire Maria's dedication and she is a hard worker. I would like to have seen her make it to the end. That left just four competitors.

This week former winners Joan Rivers and Bill Rancic were brought back to help Mr. Trump select who would be the last two finalists. The remaining four contestants were given the task to create a tea and marketing campaign. Curtis was easily broke down by Joan Rivers and Bill Rancic. Joan Rivers called Stone very secure, and Bill Rancic called him a one-trick pony. Neither seemed to think that Curtis could do more than look pretty. I won't say that Curtis isn't a go-getter, because he is. They just didn't give him enough credit.

Then Joan Rivers and Sharon had a great conversation. Sharon admitted that she was there to give back, and that she had already survived death. You have to love her devotion, when they make her admit how important it is.

Joan said the cast this year was not as volatile as last year's cast, which it true. I would like to see the competitors fight a bit harder, but not with each other like last year's cast. Bill Rancic seemed impressed with Bret Michaels. Joan Rivers thought Holly was strong and Bill said Holly had lost more fights then anyone there. She also set a record and raised a lot of money. The tension was officially in the house tonight! Joan said she would love to see Holly go up against Holly. Bill said he would like to see Bret as one of the final two. And The Donald was going to listen to his former winners, surely.

At last everyone was brought back into the boardroom and you could hear a pin drop. I was hoping to see Sharon vs. Holly. But I still really wanted Holly to go home. And then Donald fired Curtis Stone, as he listened to both previous winners. That left Sharon, Bret, and Holly. Trump asked who Bret would fire, and he said Holly. I agreed. And then Sharon was asked who would she fire, Bret or Holly. It wasn't easy but she had to answer. But she should have because you have to have the ability to be believe in yourself more than you believe in other people. And then The Donald fired Sharon, and I saw it coming. It was emotional, for sure. And then there were two: Holly and Bret.

That meant that Holly and Bret would compete as the last two standing. As always, I was blown away!

Maria Kanellis and Curtis Stone were brought back to help Holly. While Summer and Darryl Strawberry were brought back to help Holly. Oh, the irony! As we know Summer and Holly were BFF's, so I am not surprised that The Donald set it up that way. On the other hand, Summer and Darryl were two of the weakest players, and I was surprised that he didn't get stronger players for his team.

The groups helped each remaining contestant design Snapple Tea and market it. And Curtis did Bret an injustice by lying about which ingredients he really wanted. No surprise though, too bad he didn't fight that hard when he was actually still in the game.

And we were left with the cliff hanger will Bret Michaels win? Or will it be Holly Robinson Peete? Stay tuned!
Who are you hoping will win?
